Super clean motel rooms. Looks freshly painted. Don't let the exterior fool you. Nothing fancy, just comfortable and clean! Wifi works, TV channels, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee! It was quieter than the Holiday Inn we stayed at in Gaylord!

From the outside it looks a little rough. But once inside it's very nice. You can tell they have been fixing up the motel. It's very close to all St. Ignace has to offer. Once they finish fixing up the outside it will be a beautiful motel. We will definitely be back.

We’ve stayed at the Wayside a few years ago, still the same top notch standard of cleanliness. The room was neat and super clean. Simple amenities, coffee maker, microwave, fridge and tv. The shower was nice and hot! We love patronizing …

The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to the ferry and the boardwalk on the lake and lots of fun things to do and see. We did keep seeing a ghost in our room, but he was friendly! 👻

I'm going to share the same sentiments of other positive reviews. It's an "old school" motel with "old school" service. The owner was very helpful and the service was excellent. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. If you want all the "bells and whistles" from the brand name hotels, then feel free go down the road to spend at least $80+ per night more. If you want simple, clean, comfortable then book this place.

Bill was $491 for two nights. No breakfast. Man at office was nice and helpful. Very unsightly exterior. But room interior was clean and refurbished. Some of parking lot blocked by load of nasty old bathtubs, pile of dirt, pile of gravel. Room price had been more than doubled on account of an event in town.

Room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. No outside noise despite being close to the road. Very good location, just a few minutes walk to the Ferry, close to a gas station and lots of restaurants.
